Authentic Handmade Country Boots
Our country boots (botas camperas) are an icon of our tradition. Used since the 19th century, they have successfully conquered urban fashion thanks to their unmatched qualities. Their height protects your legs in the field from undergrowth and brush, while our premium leather quality ensures extreme robustness against wear and tear, fitting perfectly like a second skin.
For all these reasons, they are the preferred choice for horseback riding (the softness of the leather transmits direct contact between rider and animal) and for pilgrims walking the traditional El RocÃo Pilgrimage. All the boots you find here are authentic Spanish country boots, handcrafted in Valverde del Camino (Huelva).
In addition to our range of El RocÃo and country boots, we also craft high-shaft models tailored for daily urban life in our workshop. If you are looking for a classic and durable option that pairs with an everyday look, we invite you to explore our collection of leather boots of premium quality, handcrafted using Goodyear welting.
Looking for clearance country boots?
This is our main seasonal collection. If you are looking for single pairs with great discounts, visit our special clearance section in Last Sizes and Outlet. If you prefer lower footwear, check out our country ankle boots (botines camperos).
High Country Boots or Botos Rocieros
These boots stand out for having a shaft height that varies between 33 and 45 centimeters depending on the model. We craft them using only premium leathers: oiled calfskin, natural leather, box-calf, and split suede. The interior lining guarantees absolute breathability and comfort.
In Andalusia, it is common to call the most classic smooth-shaft models without zippers a Boto Rociero, while other styles of country boots feature decorative elements like braids, fringes, tassels, or inner zippers. Whether you are looking for women's country boots to match a fashionable look, or a robust model for men, you will find the perfect pair here, always assembled with the resistant Goodyear welt (empalmillado).
Our men's country boots (botos camperos) are the traditional footwear preferred by riders and field workers in Valverde del Camino [1]. Made with premium oiled leather and Goodyear welting, they guarantee maximum resistance for agricultural tasks, hunts (monterÃas), or traditional romerÃas.
Frequently Asked Questions about Country Boots
-
Are country boots suitable for daily use in the city?Absolutely. Today, country boots have transcended their original rural use. Thanks to their extreme comfort, breathable leather, and timeless style, they are perfect to wear with casual urban looks.
-
What is the difference between a country boot and a boto rociero? The "Boto" is usually the most traditional and robust model, with a smooth high shaft and no zipper, originally designed for farm work and the El RocÃo Pilgrimage. The "Bota Campera" covers a much wider variety of designs, with decorative details, different heel heights, or zippers, adapting well to equestrian use as well as fashion.
-
How do I know if the country boot will fit my leg?Premium natural leather has the property of giving and adapting to the contour of your leg with wear. To make them easier to put on, we have models that include elastic inserts or inner zippers. Additionally, if needed, we offer a dedicated category for Special Width Boots.
-
Why invest in a handcrafted boot over an industrial or synthetic one?The main difference lies in durability and the health of your feet. A boot from Valverde del Camino is sewn using the Goodyear welt system and made of 100% natural leather. This allows the foot to breathe, avoiding unpleasant odors, and prevents the sole from detaching. Cheap industrial boots are usually made of plastic (which causes feet to sweat) and feature glued soles, drastically shortening their lifespan. Investing in craftsmanship is investing in footwear that lasts for years.
