Welcome to the official collection of Valverde Botas. Here you won't find mass industrial production: each pair is a piece of craftsmanship made in our workshops in Valverde del Camino (Huelva), the cradle of country footwear with wisdom passed down by master shoemakers since the 19th century.

Our specialty is working with selected cowhide and premium greased leather. We use the traditional Goodyear Welt construction (empalmillado), a technique that guarantees extreme durability and superior thermal comfort.

Bota or Boto? Understanding the tradition

In Valverde, terminology is important. You will often see us use the term Boto Campero to refer to the most purist models: high leg and without a zipper. It is the preferred choice for pilgrims on their journey to the Rocío Pilgrimage and for field work.

On the other hand, our Botas (Boots) cover everything from technical riding styles to urban designs with zippers, always maintaining the robust soul of the classic country boot.

    Yes, we are manufacturers with designation of origin in Valverde del Camino (Huelva). Each pair is made in our local workshops following the Spanish artisan tradition, without offshoring processes.
  • What is the difference between Bota and Boto?
    Although used interchangeably, traditionally the 'Boto' refers to the traditional country work footwear, more robust and high-legged without a zipper, while the 'Bota' covers urban, hunting, or zippered models. Both maintain the handcrafted quality of Valverde.
  • Are they comfortable to wear for many hours?
    Yes. The design, the last, and the quality of the materials are intended to offer a firm and comfortable tread from the first use, adapting to the shape of your foot over time.
  • How should I care for greased leather boots?
    It is very simple: clean them with a damp cloth to remove dust and store them in a dry place. When you notice the leather is somewhat dry, apply horse fat or colorless nourishing cream. This will maintain waterproofing and make them last for many years like new.
  • What if I can't find my size available?
    It is possible that the model is temporarily out of stock due to high artisan demand. Write to us and we will notify you as soon as it enters production again or help you find a similar alternative.
